The Process
What to Expect in Therapy
Beginning therapy is courageous. It's also an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and develop a therapeutic relationship that can be a touchstone for change. In our work together, you can expect a non-judgmental, safe place where your whole self is welcome.
The Approach
Integrative & responsive
My approach is integrative. I draw from different styles of therapy to meet you with what's needed. Exploring thoughts and feelings with the aim of greater understanding and connection to your experience is always a priority.
Each session is a collaborative process. We work together — not with a rigid formula, but with an approach that's grounded, compassionate, and responsive to where you are.
Practical Tools
Learning skills for real life
Alongside deeper exploration, you'll learn practical tools for managing stress, anxiety, and improving well-being. Between sessions, homework may include:
Observing self-criticism and noticing patterns in your inner dialogue
Looking for triggers for compulsive behaviors or emotional reactions
Practicing breathing and nervous system grounding
Writing out an understanding of stuck points and recurring themes
Each of these weekly focus points is met with curiosity and an opportunity to reflect and strengthen in the next session.
Getting Started
Your first session
Your first session is an opportunity to talk about what's been going on and what you hope to find in therapy. There's no right or wrong way to begin — just come as you are.
From there, we'll begin shaping a path that feels grounded, compassionate, and responsive to you. Together, we'll set goals that feel meaningful and check in regularly to make sure the work is serving you well.

Let's start with a conversation
A free consultation is the easiest way to get started. We'll talk about what's been going on and whether working together feels right.
